I stumbled upon a deceased person’s facebook today. He must have passed away quite suddenly because it was a such a big shock to so many people. He was in his 20’s afterall, I think. But what made me so teary wasn’t the fact that there were so many people who posted nice comments or even that some of them kept posting comments on the wall asking him to casually look over them but it was the father who was so thankful that his son had so many good friends who looked after him. His father read through his son’s facebook page and that in itself provided some what of a relief. But still..poor man..it did make my heart break when he commented asking his son to forgive him for the tears of today.. He must’ve been a great guy. Wish I had known him.
Just something to keep in mind in the midst of all the chaos.
Don’t ask what it means, but rather how it is used.

Let’s live right, for once. No more bullshit.
The lasting message of my stats professor (from my rough memory):
“My favorite president was Kennedy. In high school, back in 1961 he stated that we would send a man to the moon. At the time, I had the privilege to meet [some NASA mastermind who devised the Saturn rockets] and I asked him how he was going to make a rocket to the moon. He said “I have no idea, but we’re going to do it.” And by 1969, they really made it happen. That was truly an amazing moment in my life but I realized something even more remarkable. The average age of all the astronauts in the Space Station above was 26. This means, when they first decided to send people up to the moon, their average age was 18. Dream big. Go for that dream and you will achieve 95% of it (statistics reference).”

Dream big, truly dream big.
Yesterday, someone was handing out fliers for Amnesty International. I would always ignore them but I didn’t this one time. He said it would only take half a minute. It took almost 10 minutes and at the brink of leaving, he finishes his speech and asks for a donation. I told him I was already sponsoring a child in Africa and then I left with his suspicious eyes peering through me. I felt horrible that I just decided to actually sponsor a kid in Africa. The deed has been done and I officially sponsor a kid in Africa and I’m not lying..
